   Girl’s golf has been on a roll this season. They traveled to Friend on Sept. 13 and scored very well. Their combined team scoring was 372. Junior Julia Messere scored a 77 and ended up with a second place finish. Junior Delainey Phillips shot an 85 and got fourth place. With two top five finishers along with this, the team was able to get a first place award. Senior Lylah Mitchell scored 103, Freshman Ellie Beck scored 107, and Freshman Lexi SaBell scored a 115. 

   Then on Sept. 23 they were scheduled to go to Hastings however it ended up getting rained out. Next on Sept. 25 the girls traveled to Holdrege. Julia Messere placed third overall along with Delainey Philips placing sixth. The team ended up with a third-place finish with a score of 375.

   On Sept. 29 the girls traveled to York. They played in a triangular scramble against York and Columbus. Columbus ended up winning the triangular. The girls scored well, however not well enough to bring home the trophy. 

   Junior Julia Messere said the team has done very well at all the tournaments and she is proud of everything that they have accomplished thus far. She has also stated 

“We do a great job building each other up and staying strong.” She also said “the team works stronger and better together when they're all in.”

   Junior Delainey Philips said there has been a great deal of growth this season. 

She also said “we have improved a lot since the first tournament and I am very grateful to play with these girls. Also, I am very excited for districts since we are facing many new teams so I think there will be some great competition.”
